Ingredients
- 1 block tofu (extra firm)
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. rice wine or mirin
- sesame seeds
Directions
- remove tofu block from packaging and drain fluids
- slice pencil-width slabs parallel with end-face of tofu block
- line baking sheet or tray with parchment paper
- lay tofu slabs side-by-side on baking sheet
- mix soy sauce, garlic powder, rice wine, and mirin
- using pastry brush, apply mixed sauce to both sides of tofu slabs
- bake on middle rack for 30 to 40 minutes
- consider serving with rice and omelette
