Ingredients
tofu
- 14 oz. extra firm tofu
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
sauce:
- 2 tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. honey (or sugar)
- 1 tsp. siracha sauce
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsp. corn starch
Directions
- drain tofu
- wrap tofu in paper towel
- press out moisture with a heavy object for five minutes
- unwrap tofu and cut into small cubes
- add to a medium mixing bowl
- sprinkle on cornstarch and toss by hand to coat cubes
- add sesame oil to skillet and heat over medium heat
- add tofu to skillet and brown sides, stirring infrequently
- while browning, mix sauce ingredients
- after tofu has browned, add sauce to skillet
- coat tofu
- once sauce is thickened, remove from heat
- serve with rice
