Taro Tea

Ingredients

  • taro
  • pinch of baking soda
  • two tea bags
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • condensed milk (optional)

Directions

  1. peel taro and cut into 1 inch cubes
  2. boil water and add a pinch of baking soda
  3. simmer taro until soft (10 to 20 min.)
  4. steep two tea bags in small amount of water
  5. blend four taro cubes, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup ice cubes, tea
  6. sweeten or add condensed milk to taste
  7. serve over ice with boba pearls
  8. leftover cooked taro cubes can be frozen
