Tofu Strips

Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu (extra firm)
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. rice wine or mirin
  • sesame seeds

Directions

  1. remove tofu block from packaging and drain fluids
  2. slice pencil-width slabs parallel with end-face of tofu block
  3. line baking sheet or tray with parchment paper
  4. lay tofu slabs side-by-side on baking sheet
  5. mix soy sauce, garlic powder, rice wine, and mirin
  6. using pastry brush, apply mixed sauce to both sides of tofu slabs
  7. bake on middle rack for 30 to 40 minutes
  8. consider serving with rice and omelette
